Description
A Georgian opaque twist wine glass which dates to 1760.
It has a round funnel bowl above a double series opaque twist stem consisting of a pair of spiral tapes outside a multiply corkscrew. Conical foot rough pontil.
No chips cracks. it measures 4 ¾ inches tall with a 1 ¾ inch bowl and 2 3/8 inch foot.
Although there are no obvious signs of restoration. it would seem to us that the proportions of the bowl are on the small side and as such we suspect that the bowl has been reduced at some point in the past.
