Description
A Georgian opaque twist wine glass c1760 which has an ogee bowl with rib moulding to the lower half. Sits on a central knopped double series opaque twist stem consisting of a pair of 3-ply spiral bands outside a vertical gauze. Conical foot with snapped pontil.
English lead. no chips or cracks. The foot evidently has had a slight polish at one section to remove a chip but it detracts little. It measures 5 ¾ inches tall with a 1 15/16 inch bowl and 2 ½ inch foot.
