SOLD – Georgian Opaque Twist Wine Glass c1760

Description

A double series opaque twist wine glass which dates to c1760.

It has a bell bowl with a solid section at the base. The double series opaque Twist Stem features a tight multi spiral band outside a pair of spiral threads. Conical foot with rough snapped pontil.

English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it has heavy wear to the foot rim with a few pin pricks on the wear line which is quite common. It measures 6 3/8 inches tall with a 2 ½ inch bowl and 2 ¾ inch foot.
