Description

A Georgian opaque twist wine glass c1790 with an ogee bowl above a double series opaque twist stem consisting of pair of spiral tapes outside a spiral gauze. Conical foot snapped pontil.

The bowl has been engraved with a stylised rose with cut petals. lilly of the valley and a Jay bird. usual jacobite support connotations. Let us know if you require an explanation

English lead. no chips or cracks or restoration. it measures 5 7/8 inches tall with a 1 7/8 inch bowl and a huge 2 11/16 inch foot.
