Description
An 18th century opaque twist wine glass with a round funnel bowl engraved with neo-classical cross hatched swags around the rim and flute moulding to the lower bowl. The double series opaque twist stem consists of an eight ply spiral outside two pairs of spiral threads. Conical foot snapped pontil.
English lead. it has a single pin prick on the side of the bowl just below the rim as shown in the photographs. this is insignificant and we only mention for the sake of completeness and candour. No chips cracks or restoration. it measures 5 ¾ inches tall with a 2 inch bowl and 2 5/8 inch foot.
