Description
A fine Georgian opaque twist wine glass c1760. The bell bowl has a solid section at the base which contains a double band of air tears in a rosette. The double series opaque twist stem contains a pair spiral threads outside a multi ply corkscrew. Lead glass. no chips cracks or restoration. it stands 7 inches tall with a 2 7/8 inch bowl and a 3 1/16 inch foot.
This is above average height for a bell bowl opaque twist wine and the air tears at the base of the bowl gives this glass extra appeal. It is also a very good weight at 230 grams.
