Condition : Excellent, no chips or cracks

Weight :  134 grams

The glass was "washed" with glassmakers soap. Manganese dioxide was added in small concentrations to remove the hues associated with iron found within sand. There is an academic argument that such glasses were made from Congleton sands due to the high level of iron within. However, doping glass was common practice and we do not believe it can be associated with any specific location nor their asociated sand deposits.

Thicker stemmed wine glasses such as this are usually associated with Irish production. This may well be the case
