Description
A Georgian plain stem wine glass with an ovoid bowl which dates to c1760.
The bowl shape was not widely popular until after 1760. The glass has a grey-blue tinge to the metal. two medium size air bubbles and smaller one in the bow as shown and tooling mars to the bow and foot. The underside of the foot also exhibits good wear and original tooling to the rim edge. It stands 5 1/4 inches high with a 1 7/8th inch bowl and 2 9/16th inch foot. English lead and no chips or cracks or restoration.
