The folded foot is indicative of the earlier date. The engraving is typically neoclassical. a movement that reached the shores of Britain after 1760. This may have been blown prior to the imposition of the 1746 glass tax or within a few years of that event. in which case it was ‘later engraved’. Alternatively it was blown and engraved after 1760.
We will as always take the more cautious approach to dating and ignore the widely deployed rule for dating glasses with folded feet as this ignores all other dating evidence.
