Additional Information : The capacity of wine glass bowls tracks the true cost of wine and both taxes imposed on glass itself and fashion. This glass is an anomaly in that it was manufactured at a time when the propensity was for smaller bowls. It was not until the end of the Napoleonic wars that wine glasses began to increase in size.
