Condition : A 2mm flake chip in the wear line under the foot
Restoration : The foot has been polished many years ago. The wear exhibited is insufficient for a glass of this age
Weight:  118 grams 

Additional Information :A glass tax was introduced in 1746 during the reign of King George II and was widely ridiculed at the time. It required that glass was to be taxed on weight. To counter this, the glass houses produced lighter glasses by removing the folded foot and introducing ‘hollow stems’.
