Period : George III, c1750
Origin : England
Colour : Clear
Bowl : Drawn trumpet
Stem : Plain
Foot : Conical and thickened to a consistent depth of 7mm. This is a firing or toasting type foot
Pontil : Snapped
Glass Type : Lead
Size :  158mm height,  72mm diameter bowl, 75mm diameter foot
Condition : Excellent, no chips or cracks; a tiny burst bubble at the transition from bowl to stem; small bubble to foot and a fe minimal inclusions
Restoration : None
Weight:  297 grams

Logic would suggest that this was made prior to the advent of the first iteration of the glass tax. The form and colour of the metal are consistent with that assumption. The thickened firing type foot ( for toasting) is unusual on plain stem wine glasses
