SOLD – Georgian Regency Wrythened Green Wine Glass c1820

Description

A Georgian green wine glass with a fully wrythened bowl. the optical pattern continues down the stem. Conical foot with snapped pontil.  

English lead glass. no chips cracks or restoration. the glass measures 4 ¾ inches tall with a 2 3/8 inch bowl and 2 ½ inch foot.

This is a rare form and we certainly haven’t had an example for many years.

We have also loaded a picture of the glass next to a peacock blue and a darker green example so you can see the difference in colour.
