Reverse: Military governor standing with his hand on the head of a togate citizen before him; after him an attendant standing right holding rods. in exergue PROVOCO

Features and Provenance: This reverse depicts the procedure of provocatio where a citizen had the right to appeal against the decision of a magistrate if it was considered an abuse of his powers.
