The last of the Kings to believe in his divine right. The son of James 1 ( James IV of Scotland) and like most of the Stuarts before and after he was a woeful politician. He caused a rebellion in Scotland and Ireland and to cap it all was the fundamental cause of the English civil war having prorogued parliament. His delusions were finally brought to an end when the traitor was beheaded in 1649.
