Features and Provenance: On the death of George III in 1820. George IV had already been acting as Prince Regent since 1811 due to his father’s bouts of mental ill health. A rather larger than life character. he lived in the height of luxury and extravagance and gave rise to the phrase ‘Regency’ style. He married secretly but as this union violated the Royal Marriage act. it was not seen as valid. His arranged marriage to Caroline of Brunswick was a disaster as he disliked her and banned her from ever being crowned and he died childless having reigned for only ten years. He is famous for his art collection. still admired today and for building the Royal Pavilion at Brighton;

Very Fine (VF). Some signs of wear on the higher parts of the relief. all parts of legend etc present. but maybe worn
