Reverse: Crowned cruciform shields. date and legend around. regnal year. Septimo on edge with rarer cinquefoils rather than crosses

Features and Provenance: William of Orange became king of Britain after a bloodless revolution. deposing James II. He co-ruled with his wife Mary II from 1689. When Mary sadly died in 1694 he continued alone until his death in 1702.
