Reverse: Value written in English and Urdu within wreath. outside wreath legend EAST INDIA COMPANY. date below

Features and Provenance: William was only king for seven years. from 1830. In his youth he was in the navy and later became nicknamed ‘the sailor king’ culminating in him becoming Lord High Admiral. He is known for his support for reforms such as the abolition of slavery. but he is also renowned for having ten illegitimate children. However. despite this fecundity. he died without a legitimate heir and his niece. Victoria. took the throne.

Uncirculated (U). As struck with no traces of wear

Extremely Fine (EF). Very slight traces of wear. all parts of legend etc present. visible and clear

Very Fine (VF). Some signs of wear on the higher parts of the relief. all parts of legend etc present. but maybe worn
