So, you have the Georgian , Regency, Victorian drinking glasses and the decanters, the tazza is full of sweetmeat glasses and the period claret jug is at the ready. Did you remember the vintage corkscrew, the wine funnel, the wine tasters and the hip flask for the after dinner stroll? A silver cigar cutter perhaps, grape scissors or spoons to match the Sevres coffee service. How about a silver sugar sifter and cream jug to accompany the period dessert service, or perhaps a punch ladle.
We do have an seemingly myopic focus on drinking vessels sometimes at Scottish Antiques, be they for coffee or a drop of grog. This particular section, however, includes some eclectic and yet still relevant items that will enhance the pleasures of both collecting and using antique glassware, tableware and porcelain.
