Heading : A late 17th or early 18th century schnapsfass
Date : 1650-1750
Origin : Germany. Netherlands. or Austria
Colour : Pale wald glass green
Bowl : Tapering barrel with four applied feet which have been tooled. Two applied crimped trailed milled bands on either side of the barrel.
Pontil : Snapped pontil scar
Glass Type : Lead free
Size : 20cm length. 10cm height.
Condition : No chips or cracks. some scratching commensurate with use.
Restoration : None
Weight : 343 grams
Schnapsfass translates to schnapps barrel. This spirit barrel would have been used to store and dispense schnapps.
