Description
This superb glass dates to between c1650 and c1680. Façon de Venise. in the style of Venice. a useful collective French term to group glass made in the 16th and 17th century at multiple locations across Europe. Spain and elsewhere.
This glass is “à la façon” and has very thin delicate walls. The funnel bowl was made separately to the inverted baluster hollow stem. It has a very delicate conical folded foot. Fire polished rim and excellent tooling no chips cracks or restoration.
It measures 6 3/8 inches tall with a 3 ½ inch bowl and 3 2/8 inch foot.
