Heading : Goldscheider terracotta figure of Rebecca at the Well.
Date : c1902.
Origin : Austria.
Decoration : Painted terracotta depicting Rebecca at the Well, she is leaning against an amphora type jug. Base labelled REBECCA and numbering to the wall reading 2172/712/82 – artist’s signature to base CHERC (Hans Scherpe), Goldscheider plaque, Austrian double headed eagle.
Condition : Excellent. There is some wear on the underside of the base and some scratching to her akimbo elbow.
