Heading : Regency writing slope with rosewood veneer

Decoration : Brass bound with vacant cartouche to centre. Interior with leather bound slope with compartments under both sides. Pen tray and spaces for inkwells to the top board which also contains two small sconces which attach to holes in the border. Lift out pin opens a full width drawer. There is also a secret compartment though sadly the drawers are glued up rendering it a useless oddity.
Size : 50.4cm x 25.9cm, 18cm height
Condition : Excellent – there is a stable veneer crack approx 10cm to the cover and a few mall scratches. Otherwise general wear with age.
Restoration : As above the drawers in the secret compartment have been glued shut. The leather has been rebound.
