Origin : Probably Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Decoration : Central diamond panels of stickeware decoration with dentil stringin. Border with geometic stickeware. Side panels with geometric stickware and dentil stringing. Interior with lift out tray containing sewing reels and needles. Rouched vsilk to cover.
Size : Length 21.2cm, width 16cm, Height 7.5cm
Condition : Three short and fine shrinkage cracks on the cover, otherwise excellent, no losses, working lock and key
Restoration : None
Weight :658 grams
Possibly the work of the Wise manufactory although Friend, Fenner etc are also possible.
