Decoration : Geometric tessellated banding to border with dentil strinigng. Barton stamp inside the cover.
Size : 13.1cm x 13.1cm, 2.8cm heighty
Condition : Good – some wear as expected with use including lifting to the A side of the board (left from white’s perspective).

Weight : 183 grams
In a time before Chess.com the chess enthusiast would have to battle the elements while travelling by coach, charabanc or train. While for the incompetent such as myself pieces getting jumbled up can garner some advantage, the innovation of travelling chess sets with fixed positions is vital for a grandmaster on the move.
