A beautifully engraved Victorian Glass Stein or Tankard c1892.
It has its original pewter lid with a cut glass lense lid and an applied handle. The graduated slice cut bowl has been wonderfully engraved with a forest scene featuring a large stag. Terraced foot with polished base.
Bohemian in origin. it’s in superb condition with no chips cracks or restoration. The date 1892 is engraved on the lid. It measures 7 inches tall with does not include the lid and is 8 ¾ inches to the top of the handle.
An exceptional example.
Weight is over 1kg without being filled to its capacity. it does hold a full pint and thus may be put to use by the British. Australian and American gentleman in his natural habitat. the pub. 19th hole. garden shed. the fireside or barbeque.
