The wear on the base is excellent and this has some age. We have been advised that this was probably made to commemorate the centenary of the company being nationalised in 1899. The coin is genuine. the VOX did mint their own coinage. This is not a fake. there is no attempt to deceive anyone into believing that this is 18th century. The near quart capacity does mean that this will have some seasonal benefits.
