Description
A fine example of a Victorian Horn Beaker dated 1877.
It has a large solid silver collar around brim fully hallmarked for London 1877 as well as a silver shield with engraved copperscript initials ( I would only be guessing as to the letters. but it could be the letters C. B and F or E) with a further smaller collar around the base…all with the same hall marks.
Made by George Williams Adams who was a silversmith in London from 1840 to 1883.
Its in excellent condition as shown and measures 6 ¼ inches tall with a 3 ¾ inch rim and 2 1/ inch foot. It does not leak and is perfecty useable for a pint.
