SOLD – Victorian Engraved Air Twist Wine Glass c1860

Description

A truly superb Victorian air twist wine glass which dates to c1860.

It has a round funnel bowl which has fruit and vine engravings in the upper half and hammered moulding to the lower half. Sits on a superb double series air twist stem consisting of a multi spiral air twist outside a spiral column. Conical foot which has a polished pontils.

English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 6 ¾ inches tall with a 2 ¾ inch bowl and 2 ¾ inch foot.

A truly stunning glass which is big enough to be used with modern wines.
