We have been given a second glass dated 1871 and attributed to Molineaux Webb Manchester. This requires research. Some masonic wine glasses from the same period that were always intended to be nothing else other than masonic wine glasses have septagonal stems. Seven is a very significant number within masonry.

This has been decorated with the following masonic symbols

1. Set square and compass. The symbol of the Master of the Lodge and a remider of both earthly and spiritual duties

2. The pillars of Solomons temple and pavement

3. The eye of providence

4. A level

5. The sun and moon

6. The bible

7. A gavel

8. Masons tools

9. Jacobs ladder

10 Keys of office

11. A quill

…and more
