Description
This is a profusely engraved masonic glass. Glasses of this type were produced in both Germany and Bohemia from the mid to the late 19th century. This has a flat base and is lead glass. It has a long conical bowl that tapers to a heavy octagonal firing foot that has slice cuts to the side. There is good wear to the foot that is commensurate with the age. c1870. It stands 5 3/4 tall with a 2 1/2 inch bowl.
The engravings sets this glass apart. It carries the crossed swords jewel of the master of ceremonies. the cross keys jewel of the treasurer and the feathers. the jewel of the secretary. These were significant to the owner.
