Description
A good set of six Victorian glass rummers c1870 which have round funnel bowls with baluster knop stems on plain feet which have gadget tools marks. The ‘Gadget’ was a tool used between 1860 and approx. 1880 to hold the foot of the glass whilst the bowl was finished. The tool left X or Y or sometimes just a / type crease on the underside of the foot . Gadget marks disappear after 1880 following changes in manufacturing techniques. They are ideal to use for parties and create a talking point.
