A Victorian Glass Rummer c1850
An almost identical example is held by the Black country museum and was part of a bequest made by Benjamin Richardson 111. The cup bowl has nine slice cuts that continue down onto the baluster knop stem. Conical foot with ground and polished pontil. An elegant and very useable glass from one of England’s greatest ever factories.
It stands 5 7/8th inches tall with a 3 1/2 inch bowl and 3 inch foot. Lead glass. The foot is slightly irregular. a not uncommon feature. Deceptively weighty. No chips cracks or restoration.
