SOLD – Six Victorian glass Rummers c1880

Description

A superb set of Six Victorian glass Rummers c1880 which have flared bucket bowls with prism and slice cuts and hexagonal central knops. Sit on plain feet again with prism and slice cuts.

These are the Rummer glasses within a matched suite. The suite is comprised of four graduated sets of identical form with a matching set of rummers. We have included an image of a five piece place setting.  This size glass is the tallest at the rear of the group picture.

The Victorian glasses are superbly executed and could be from any one of a number of Stourbridge factories. The Victorians had their renaissance revival not only in architecture and good style will always be good style be that in the 16th century or the 21st

They measure 6 ¼ inches tall with 3 3/8 inch bowls and 2 7/8 inch feet.

English lead. one has a small chip to the rim and two have small chips to the feet. all of which can and will be restored if required. This is also refelcted in the price. Restoration costs wil be in the region of 40 pounds
