Bowl : Engraved with a schooner The Jane of Portsmouth and  ‘Jane Fairall” dated 1863
Stem : Blade collar knop. Hollow ball knop with blade knops above and below. The knop contains an 1854 silver Maundy Fourpence.
Foot : Conical
Pontil : Polished
Glass Type : Lead
Size : 20cm in height with a bowl of 12cm and 10.5cm foot
Condition : Excellent
Restoration : None
Weight: 755 grams

The surname Fairall originates in the Isle of Wight. The ship was the registered property of coal merchant and Alderman John Fairall and together with his wife was Jane they were resident in Newport Isle of Wight. Many thanks to C Fairall.
