This is a square based rummer from c1880. We have had many jacobite glases for sale over the years but not many Williamite. I accept that this is not “period” it was not made around the time of either uprising nor does its manufacture coincide with the arrival of King Billy in Devon or the glorious revolution. but there are very few glasses outside of museums that do. This is engraved with the words “William 111 Price Of Orange” to one side and on the other William on his Horse with the words “No Surrender” engraved beneath.
The glass has a small wear mark on the bowl. most likely caused by a ring and there are two small chips at the corners of upperside of the foot. We may have these polished out for you if you like your glasses to be restored.
