Victorian Glass Candlestick c1875

Description

A  Victorian candlestick c1875 with beaded air knops above and beloew a central 8 sided pedestal stem with diamonds on the shoulders. Domed foot with snapped pontil.

Very much in the Georgian style. English lead. it has no chips cracks or restoration and measures 8 1/4 inches tall with a 3 3/4 inch foot. At only 140 years old such examples are almost identical to  earlier Georgian examples and it takes a trained eye to tell the difference. They simply have to be used as they are simply gorgeous on a dining table and refract candle light quite beautifully. understated elegance.
