Additional Information : An outstanding serving bottles for the dining table. Similar rib moulding is to be found on many decanters from 1820 -1840. This example is more in the gothic revival style and thus we contend a little later. Serving bottles fell out of favour as table items. They are highly decorative. different and deserve to be reinstated. They are so much more attractive that having modern disposable wine bottles at the table . screw caps and plastic corks are utterly repulsive in comparison to this fine vessel.
