Description
A truly stunning French Victorian Engraved Glass Decanter with a solid Silver Cap and Stopper which dates to 1880-1882.
It has its original Solid Silver collar which is hallmarked with the Minerva Head and the makers stamp for Jules Guetin who worked in Paris at 7 Rue Reaumur between 1880 and 1882. The Cap is also Solid Silver and has matching hallmarks.
The main body has been beautifully engraved with a large Grape Vine which snakes its way all around the bowl on both sides. Lead glass. wonderfully clean and clear with no chip cracks or restoration. It measures 11 ½ inches tall 7 inches long and approx. 3 inches wide.
