This glass has been problematic. The clarity of the glass is high. The domed and folded foot suggests an earlier sate than the engraving but the fluid engraved design is typical for the period 1840 to 1870. The fold on the foot is thicker than 18th century equivalents and the wear on the foot is inadequate for an earlier glass. The junction between the stem and bowl is typically mid 19th century.

The capacity is too great for this to have been intended for champagne when made. however I would fill this with bottled beer every evening.
