This is an early glass breast milk pump. possibly for use by a wet nurse. The construction is entirely hand blown with an anatomically shaped foot and small hole in the mouthpiece which when sucked causes a vacuum and the globe reservoir to be filled.
Nobody was available to model this. One for the collector of medical paraphernalia. Only the second example that we have seen outside of a museum. May be deployed as a very generous toddy lifter !
