This is a very unusual Victorian paperweight desk top calendar. The face is signed ” Patent MERIDIAN CALENDAR XII “. It has three adjustable dials for the day. date and month . There is also a compass.
This dates to around 1880. It is in excellent condition all mechanisms work well. There are no chips or repairs to the glass. There is one sooty inclusion within the glass from manufacture.
This is a rare Victorian paperweight and the only other example we could locate is in the Armagh Observatory in Northern Ireland.
