Description
This is almost certainly a Thomas Webb glass and was produced as a decorative piece or as an example for display purposes. The cutting. though we could rightfully say “carving” is stunning. The two motifs are fruiting vines and pears. The cutting is so deep and precise. The stem has been “scalloped” with elongated hexagonal cuts. We will let the pictures speak for themselves. This is a heavy piece at 2.7Kgs.
It stands 14 inches tall with a 5 1/4 inch bowl and a 12 sided foot with cut base and polished pontil.
