Description

A fine set of four Regency Wine Rinsers c1830 with double lips and slice. prism and diamond cutting and star cut bases. Modern wine glasses no longer cost the equivalent of a weeks wages as they did in the early 19th century. very few people today partake in meals that run into ten courses and many more. The need to rinse glasses between changing wines is greatly diminished. They may still be used as originally intended but we have seen them used for anything from finger bowls.to serving fruit salad. canapes and even gazpacho.

English lead. no chips cracks or restoration they measure 3 ¾ inches tall and 5 ½ inches across the lips.
