Decoration : Brass bound box with leather lined inteior. Lift off cover reveals numerous compartments for stationery. “Lund 24 Fleet St London” brass label.

Size : 23.3cm x 14.5cm, 7.4cm height

Condition : Excellent, minor age related wear only. Working lock and key.

Restoration : The cover is a replacement.

Weight :  1070 grams

William Lund was the son of Thomas Lund who founded the business in 1804. William moved to a retail outlet on Fleet Street in 1835. An appropriate origin for a stationery box as Fleet Street has been populated by scribbling hacks since the invention of the printing press.
