Description: Large silver and Scottish specimen agate brooch with cut Cairngorm stones and finely engraved silver embellishment in the form of a Scottish Sgian Dubh dagger.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. the silver is unmarked as is usual for this period. Pin and c-clasp are strong and fully functional

The Sgian Dubh ( skean dhu) was originally a small knife to be secreted on ones person having surrendered your larger weapons to your host.
