Reference :Lalique. Sabino. Marinot. Simonet and Pantin all produced vases based on sea urchins. Vases with such brilliant white interiors and decoration inspired by nature epotomise the art nouveau. Cased vases enamelled with elaborate expressions of Japonism were being produced in France from 1890. Decor became markedly less flamboyant in the second and third decades of the 20th century.
