Perhaps Waterford Crystal’s greatest achievement to date was the New Year’s Eve “Millennium Ball” in Time Square. An estimated 1.2 billion people watched as the 6-foot diameter crystal ball was lowered down the pole during the Millenium countdown. The ball is now on display in waterford crystal’s headquarters in Ireland.
