Rowland Ward specialised in glassware engraved with figures of African animals and was based in Kenya. The Nairobi Kenya glassware is no longer being made. but there is still a healthy interest in the series by lovers of fine engraved crystal.  In 1974 the Kenyan government expropriated the Ward establishment. and the business returned to England.
