A near pair of mid eighteenth century London made silver sauceboats. Both with hallmarks to base. The elegant C scroll handles with foliate thumb rest lead to a scallop edged body standing on three paw feet.  Both carry an engraved crest of the Walmsley family. a griffin’s head above the motto ‘En Dieu Est Mon Esperance’ (In God is my hope).
